Even though the Government backed down on its planned changes to Level A and B consultations, there are still critical issues facing general practice.
The AMA is hosting events like this throughout the state and around the country.
This is both a continuation of the AMA campaign that led to the Government backflip on Level A and B consulations and your chance to inform AMA policy in the coming negotiations with the Health Minister.
The details for the Newcastle event are:
Date: Thursday, 19th February 2015
Time: 7:00pm to 8:30pm
Wests New Lambton Bowling Club, Greenhouse Room
1A Tauranga Road, New Lambton
(Parking is available at the venue and at the New Lambton car park).
Ongoing AMA concerns for general practice include the proposed $5 rebate cut to commence in July 2015, the freeze on indexation and the long-term underfunding of general practice.
This forum will be a great chance for you to discuss these threats to general practice as well as your own concerns with your colleagues and AMA representatives.
